- As a small child in the UK I used to tell kids in school I was raised by a Sheepdog - don't know why because apart from always being surrounded by birds and animals since birth - I had two fairly normal parents who raised me .... When I was a little older - about 7 or 8 - I would tell my friends in Boarding School that I had six ponies at my home - and that was a barefaced lie - because though my folks worked a tiny farm with goats, geese, ducks, chickens, white turkeys, calves, young cattle and the occasional piglet, dogs cats and whathaveyou - there was nary a pony in sight. Even though I longed for one and no doubt heavy hinted endlessly.
In any event gradually I more or less straightened out and when I emmigrated to North America many moons ago - had no trouble locating friends who shared my love of the two leggeds, four leggeds, the ones that fly, that swim, that crawl - that never argue or get sarcastic - that like to hang out with human friends and be silly.
With me in the profile pic - is our Pyr - Athena - Of all the many cool dogs I have known - Athena rates beyond excellent.

Been a while since I left an update on everyone's page, so I thought I would take some time and share what's been happening on PLP.
We have a really unique contest that I am hoping that people join in on. It's really not so much a contest as it is a way for us to create a calendar to share all of our pet pictures. Check it out by going .

Ning has added a lot of new features, and some things they have taken away. Let's get to the fun part first! We can now add "system wide" apps that everyone can use. I'm still trying to figure out what would be fun, but, one thing I did add is a games page. The games page can be found under the Community menu and it's the last option -- or, just click Here
. If anyone has used the apps before, and has a recommendation, just let me know.
One of the things that was removed was our ability to invite other Ning friends to our community. If you are a member of other pet sites and want to invite your friends here, just log on to www.ning.com. You will see all of the sites that you belong to by clicking on "Social Networks".
Once you are on the page where PLP displays, select "Recommend" and you can then recommend PLP to your friends from other Ning sites or to our little home. We really appreciate it when you invite other folks to join our community. We only grow by word of mouth and appreciate the support.

SuzSee-PLP Creator said… - We've missed a lot of folks lately, and we just want to get that good ol' Pet Lovers Paradise joy back. If you can spare a minute, please pass a hug on to five other members of the site. It's a small gesture, but one that will go a long way to opening new friendships and, hopefully, creating more activity on the site.
Here's my attempt at creating new friendships and sharing a tidbit about me. I am going to be a Grandma soon -- actually, very soon. The baby's due date is July 4th.
