If I Didn't Have a Dog
I could walk around the yard barefoot in safety.
My house could be carpeted instead of tiled and laminated.
All flat surfaces, clothing, furniture, and cars would be free
of hair. When the doorbell rings, it wouldn't sound like a kennel.
When the doorbell rings, I could get to the door without wading
through fuzzy bodies who beat me there.
I could sit on the couch and my bed the way I wanted, without
taking into consideration how much space several fur bodies would
need to get comfortable.
I would have money .....and no guilt to go on a real vacation.
I would not be on a first-name basis with 6 veterinarians, as I put
their yet unborn grand kids through college.
The most used words in my vocabulary would not be: out, sit, down,
come, no, stay, and leave him/her/it ALONE.
My house would not be cordoned off into zones with baby gates
or barriers.
My house would not look like a day care center, toys everywhere.
My pockets would not contain things like poop bags, treats and an
extra leash.
I would no longer have to spell the words B-A-L-L, F-R-I-S-B-E- E,
W-A-L-K, T-R-E-A-T, B-I-K-E, G-O, R-I-D-E
I would not have as many leaves INSIDE my house as outside.
I would not look strangely at people who think having ONE dog/cat
ties them down too much.
I'd look forward to spring and the rainy season instead of dreading
"mud" season..
I would not have to answer the question "Why do you have so many
animals?" from people who will never have the joy in their lives of
knowing they are loved unconditionally by someone as close to an
a angel as they will ever get.

Just a horse"
Just a horse? I dont think so
From time to time, people tell me, "lighten up, it's just a horse," or, "that's a lot of money for "just a horse".
They don't understand the distance traveled, the time spent, or the costs involved for "just a horse."
Some of my proudest moments have come about with "just a horse."
Many hours have passed and my only company was "just a horse," but I did not once feel slighted.
Some of my saddest moments have been brought about by "just a horse", and in those days of darkness, the gentle touch of "just a horse" gave me comfort and reason to overcome the day.
If you, too, think it's "just a horse," then you will probably understand phrases like "just a friend," "just a sunrise," or "just a promise."
"Just a horse" brings into my life the very essence of friendship, trust, and pure unbridled joy.
"Just a horse" brings out the compassion and patience that make me a better person.
Because of "just a horse" I will rise early, take long walks and look longingly to the future.
So for me and folks like me, it's not "just a horse" but an embodiment of all the hopes and dreams of the future, the fond memories of the past, and the pure joy of the moment.
"Just a horse" brings out what's good in me and diverts my thoughts away from myself and the worries of the day.
I hope that someday they can understand that it's not "just a horse" but the thing that gives me humanity and keeps me from being "just a woman."
So the next time you hear the phrase "just a horse" just smile, because they "just" don't understand..

- I rec'vd my test results not good:(, I have a mass on lymph node under my left axilla and 2 other things too, degenerative detereating bone and Bursitis in same arm and he did a back MRI also and I have a bulging disc, that I do not know??? So now next step is to see Surgeon and Ortho doc, But at least they know that I was not making it up why I said I was not feeling well...So we will see from here, I have my good and bad days, of course now today is bad and I am just so nervous but what is done is done no going back now just have to go forward and hope for the best outcome!!!...Thanks for always being my wonderful friend....TTYS...LOVE and HUGGERS to all, by the way LOVED the pic of Cody he is getting so big, LOL
