Cat food is not good for small breeds, they are prone to getting diabetics if not given the proper food. I have this problem with my diabetic dog who goes after my puppy's food and now they eat when there hungry, no grazing allowed..... for me eithe…

The only problem could be if your cat has a feline urinary tract problem (mostly males get this) the dog food may be high in ash and magnesium. As for the dog eating the cat food just the expense. Merry Christmas !!!

My cat occasionally will eat the dog's food. And I buy large kibble - she just sits there crunching away. It hasn't hurt her at all. I don't think I'd worry about it much. Now if they start barking........

I am a full-time Writer living in Oklahoma, USA. I live here with my 3 beautiful cats and a Pomeranian . I have 2 male cats; Morin, a beautiful orange tabby bordering on 25 pounds and Teddy Bear, a honey colored tabby with white socks and face markings. My little dog is the newest addition and he chose me. When a friend showed me him he would not get down so I took him. They make my days full and joyful.

Where is your own piece of paradise?

I will be going east in the Spring of 2009. But right now the little city cottage I live in with my 3 furry babies will suffice.

Food Problem

I have two cats; Morin and Teddy Bear and a Dog; Dylan. My problem is this; Dylan is constantly wanting to eat their cat food and vice-versa. Now my kitties; being older. have a problem jumping as high as they have before. So it doesn't seem to help to put their food on a higher surface. Anyway they still go after the dog's food. I used to put the kitties' food out in the morning because they are grazers. Now I can't leave the house without putting all the food up. Is cat food really bad for dog… Continue

Over The Rainbow Bridge

Friends I have some very sad news. Panda; my tuxedo Manx, was sick with a liver problem for most of last week. She suffered from fatty acids in her liver. Evidently this is something that happens to Manx cats. The 'cure' has cost me but my precious baby was worth ever penny. On Friday she got back the pink in her ears and on her gums. But on Monday I had to take her again to visit the vet as she had spiraled down badly. Now its Tuesday and she was very listless this morning. My groomer friend an… Continue
