- I'm Nancy from Ontario, Canada. Married to a wonderful and patient man, Joe, who thankfully loves animals as much as I do. We have a blended family (since 1986) and three adorable grandchildren. YES, I love animals, especially my little furry munchkins.
We adopted Oscar, a Collie/Ret mix from our local shelter in July 2008. He loves the "girls", our two shih tzus, Molly and Maggie Mae (she's the really spoiled one in the family!).
We adopted a black and white rabbit name Stu from a local woman who wanted to find him a new home in the spring 2009. He's the funniest little guy with some quirky little habits. Maggie Mae loves to run around the house with him. They sniff noses and take off running together.
In November 2009, I fell in love with a beautiful long haired white cat name Molly. She is the most loving, affection cat I've met in a long time and immediately investigated every little nook and cranny in our home. She's found several good spots to settle in for a good sleep!
Unless I get a bigger house, I'll have to stop adopting more animals. :-(

Bulldog Brownies Ingredients:
1/2 cup shortening
3 tablespoons honey
4 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup whole wheat flour
1/4 cup carob flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
Frosting
12 ounces nonfat cream cheese
teaspoons honey
Cream shortening and honey together thoroughly. Add remaining ingredients. Beat well. Bake in a greased cookie sheet (10x15") for 25 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool completely.
FROSTING: Blend together. Spread frosting over cool brownies. Cut into 3 inch or 1 1/2 inch squares.

Been a while since I left an update on everyone's page, so I thought I would take some time and share what's been happening on PLP.
We have a really unique contest that I am hoping that people join in on. It's really not so much a contest as it is a way for us to create a calendar to share all of our pet pictures. Check it out by going here.
Ning has added a lot of new features, and some things they have taken away. Let's get to the fun part first! We can now add "system wide" apps that everyone can use. I'm still trying to figure out what would be fun, but, one thing I did add is a games page. The games page can be found under the Community menu and it's the last option -- or, just click HERE. If anyone has used the apps before, and has a recommendation, just let me know.
One of the things that was removed was our ability to invite other Ning friends to our community. If you are a member of other pet sites and want to invite your friends here, just log on to www.ning.com. You will see all of the sites that you belong to by clicking on "Social Networks".
Once you are on the page where PLP displays, select "Recommend" and you can then recommend PLP to your friends from other Ning sites or to our little home. We really appreciate it when you invite other folks to join our community. We only grow by word of mouth and appreciate the support.
