I am the Operations Coordinator for Rescue Ink. Working with the guys to assist the many animals in need, is absolutely a dream job. Though I definitely have a few more gray hairs, it is all worth it at the end of the day. Pass the word: Abusers are Losers!!

Where is your own piece of paradise?

Paradise is working in my home office. My coworkers can be a bit distracting, demanding, with a "it's all about me attitude", but I put up with it. They think I work just for them. My coworkers are Madison, Park, and Simon....the four legged children who come to work with me. Sarge the fourth one prefers to lounge around on the recliner during the day.

This is Boo who lived in the woods for years alone. He was tormented by kids, but an angel named Donna found him. She set up his tent and fed him everyday for over one and half years. Boo never came close enough to her. Well Rescue Ink was able to get him with Donna's help. Boo was taken to Save A Pet in LI where he had human contact for the first time in years. We found out he was 10 yrs old. Boo has been adopted by a wonderful retired couple. Boo will always be in my heart and a smile on my face.

No I have not forgotten about all of you at Pet Lovers Paradise

Rescue Ink has been busy. The press release is out about our series on National Geographic and our book by Viking Publishers. They come out in the Fall and all of us are very excited about this. What is really exciting is knowing that we will reach so many more people and many more animals will be s
safe.

BBRRRRR!!!!! It is getting cold out there.

Winter is knocking on our doors. With the weather turning colder, Rescue Ink is receiving more calls than ever for the many dogs that are out there. We have been donating dog houses to people who cannot afford one or knew better that their pet needed a warm place to go if they are going to be kept outside. Though we would prefer that they were allowed inside, we cannot force someone to do that. There is no law in NY stating the dog has to be inside.

Happy Thanksgiving

Today is a very special day to give our thanks. I do want to say I am very thankful to have found this wonderful site. I am very thankful for my wonderful family. They put up with all the craziness and always on the run that is involved with Rescue Ink. I am so very thankful for the many people in our communities who speak for the animals and do what they can to assist them. Where has the time gone???

Well Rescue Ink sure has been busy. We had our 1st Annual M.A.D. Benefit a few weeks ago. However, the animals do not let us take anytime off so we have been working non stop these days. With the change of weather, the events should be slowing down some. This means I will have the weekends to work on the many emails and phone calls that come in daily.

A good way to catch them, is wait until nightfall, when they are in the trees, and get a flashlight and a 4x4 or a broom. Shine the flashlight on them, either use the 4x4 piece of wood or the straw side of the broom up to them and they will go on them and just bring them down. That what my husband and his family did to catch these when he was young. Thanks for the show.

Been a while since I left an update on everyone's page, so I thought I would take some time and share what's been happening on PLP.

We have a really unique contest that I am hoping that people join in on. It's really not so much a contest as it is a way for us to create a calendar to share all of our pet pictures. Check it out by going here.

Ning has added a lot of new features, and some things they have taken away. Let's get to the fun part first! We can now add "system wide" apps that everyone can use. I'm still trying to figure out what would be fun, but, one thing I did add is a games page. The games page can be found under the Community menu and it's the last option -- or, just click HERE. If anyone has used the apps before, and has a recommendation, just let me know.

One of the things that was removed was our ability to invite other Ning friends to our community. If you are a member of other pet sites and want to invite your friends here, just log on to www.ning.com. You will see all of the sites that you belong to by clicking on "Social Networks".

Once you are on the page where PLP displays, select "Recommend" and you can then recommend PLP to your friends from other Ning sites or to our little home. We really appreciate it when you invite other folks to join our community. We only grow by word of mouth and appreciate the support.
