I live in Florida with my wonderful hubby, & the 4 children that still live at home. Sarah 16, Kyle 11, & Ian 9. Our 19 yr old son Paul recently moved back home after having moved out for 6 months. We have one dog, our Eskie Sebastian, 2 lizards, Jordan the bearded dragon & Zack the albino leopard gecko, Maya is 11 & a blue fronted Amazon. We show & breed cats as well as do purebred cat rescue. We had our first Oriental Shorthair litter in January 2009, & 3 Turkish Angora litters in April! Boy was THAT crazy for a while! All but 2 of the kittens spoken for have left for their new homes, with one more going 10/20, & the other going when our OSH partner clears her new kittens of their URI. We kept one of Beanie's girls, & 2 of Nightingale's girls, one black smoke, & the silver. Katie was spayed, & retired to a pet home. Nightingale is spayed & looking for a pet home.

In Northern Florida, between Jacksonville & St. Augustine.

Update on Mai Lyn

Well, we are back from Mai-Lyn's vet appointment. He so no evidence of ear mites, so we can discontinue the ivermectin drops. He saw no evidence of any ear infection, so we can discontinue the antibiotics. He did the belly shave & found a clear spay scar, so she is spayed. He did an overall exam, & looked into both of her eyes to test for tracking. One of her eyes tracks normally, the other does not, it's fixed, but has vision. Mai Lyn is a 6 month old tortie point Exotic kitten who was surrendered by her owner, we can only presume because of her condition, because no reason was given on her animal control records, & in fact, her owner declined to give animal control any personal information, so I can't even call & ask them… Continue
