- I am 43, mother of 2 and grandmother of 1 in which I am now raising. I have 3 dogs and 2 cats. I have owned iguana's, terantula's, cockateels, cherry head conures etc.
I take in strays and nurse them back to health and find them good homes.

My Babies
I have always had animals of all kinds with me and my human kids ranging from dogs to spiders. Tasha helped raise all of them and ran the house like a queeen in charge. I wasn't thinking
I wasn't thinking the day Tasha left about the others we care most about. I came home in all my grief not even thinking the things dogs can sense. I never changed my clothes and thought nothing about the way dogs can smell when death is about. I brought Lucky in without even a clue as he searched the house looking for her. Sorry I haven't been on till now a lot of things where bogging me down and I haven't had time. I never thought of my babies as pets but as family members and my kids. They don't act like animals but human children...I don't think they know they are animals for that matter lol. - I'm so sorry for your loss. It's a terrible thing to lose a loved pet. Do know that it will get easier with time, but that won't make you feel better right away. It's never easy--and it'll always hurt. But time does sorta diminish that pain. You'll always remember the sweetheart with love!

Been a while since I left an update on everyone's page, so I thought I would take some time and share what's been happening on PLP.
We have a really unique contest that I am hoping that people join in on. It's really not so much a contest as it is a way for us to create a calendar to share all of our pet pictures. Check it out by going here.
Ning has added a lot of new features, and some things they have taken away. Let's get to the fun part first! We can now add "system wide" apps that everyone can use. I'm still trying to figure out what would be fun, but, one thing I did add is a games page. The games page can be found under the Community menu and it's the last option -- or, just click HERE. If anyone has used the apps before, and has a recommendation, just let me know.
One of the things that was removed was our ability to invite other Ning friends to our community. If you are a member of other pet sites and want to invite your friends here, just log on to www.ning.com. You will see all of the sites that you belong to by clicking on "Social Networks".
Once you are on the page where PLP displays, select "Recommend" and you can then recommend PLP to your friends from other Ning sites or to our little home. We really appreciate it when you invite other folks to join our community. We only grow by word of mouth and appreciate the support.
