I am happy to say that, once again, my prayers were answered! Pepper AND my father are both doing well! Pepper's blood count is up again from yesterday and tomorrow he can come home!! My father is still on the hospital, but is off ox...
Dear Marina, Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Today will be a long day because I won't be getting an update. I am praying feverously for the grace from God and the Saints in Heaven to heal him and send him home to me.

Monday 10/12 AM Update on Pepper
Dear Friends,
I am a nervous wreck! I called the vat just as I was supposed to at 10-10:30. I was told they are waiting for the results of the blood work and the vet would call me in a few minutes. He was in with patients. It's almost 2 hours later and I am shaking! I thought he was coming home today... :(
I am trying to tell myself- CONVINCE MYSELF - that everything is ok and they just want to make sure that the course of treatment ,THE ONE THAT PEPPER HAS RESPONDED TO, is the one they need to… Continue

Sunday's Pepper Update
Dear Friends, Pepper continues to improve. :D His blood count is just a smidge below normal. The vet says if it goes up a little more he can come home tomorrow!
I am counting the minutes until I can call in the morning (10AM) and find out if he can come home.

Update on Pepper 10/9
Dear Friends,
My baby is still not home. They are waiting for the results of blood work, since all the other tests are OK. I am more afraid now than ever and am extremely distraught. The vet said it could be a disease from a tick bite, which is very treatable, or another condition (I don't recall what exactly) where he can be given Prednisone, some cats respond well to that treatment... Or bone marrow cancer :cry: if that is the case there is nothing that can be done. I am trying to be positive… Continue

Updat on Pepper 10/8
Dear Friends,
I just got off the phone with me vet. Pepper's x-rays are normal. His Red Blood Cell count is 30% lower than it should be. His billirubin (liver enzyme) is high. But other things don't point towards it being his liver. The doctor also said it could be a viral or bacterial infection, auto-immune. All treatable. He wants to have a cardiologist look at him tomorrow. I am guessing he is leaning more towards heart disease.

My Pepper is in the hospital..PLEASE PRAY
Dear Friends,
Dear Friends, I am here today asking for prayers for my Pepper. He is a 12 year old male cat. He is, and always has been, a finicky eater. The past 2 days he has not been himself. He is not eating that much at all. I think it may be his teeth. We have a vet appointment today at 3:45. Other than his appetite, he is ok. Not "normal" moire like he's under the weather.
I am sick with worry.

Been a while since I left an update on everyone's page, so I thought I would take some time and share what's been happening on PLP.
We have a really unique contest that I am hoping that people join in on. It's really not so much a contest as it is a way for us to create a calendar to share all of our pet pictures. Check it out by going here.
Ning has added a lot of new features, and some things they have taken away. Let's get to the fun part first! We can now add "system wide" apps that everyone can use. I'm still trying to figure out what would be fun, but, one thing I did add is a games page. The games page can be found under the Community menu and it's the last option -- or, just click HERE. If anyone has used the apps before, and has a recommendation, just let me know.
One of the things that was removed was our ability to invite other Ning friends to our community. If you are a member of other pet sites and want to invite your friends here, just log on to www.ning.com. You will see all of the sites that you belong to by clicking on "Social Networks".
Once you are on the page where PLP displays, select "Recommend" and you can then recommend PLP to your friends from other Ning sites or to our little home. We really appreciate it when you invite other folks to join our community. We only grow by word of mouth and appreciate the support.
