- Please share information about you and your pets. PLP is a social network for Pet Lovers and is NOT a marketing site. If no reference to pet/pet loving is made, your account will be declined.
- I am the guardian of 6 cats, 5 of whom I consider to be my familiars, based on their behavior. They listen to me from my thoughts, from what I can tell. They talk to me, etc. One of them is still somewhat feral, so he's still a bit shy. You can tell he wants to be closer, but he's just not quite ready. I and my hubby are letting him work into the human part of the family at his own pace. All of our kids are rescues, 2 of them with only 3 paws, and 1 a severe abuse case. My kids are what I live for, and I have no human babies yet, so these 6 are my life, and on many days my salvation. We also have a husky who's getting up there in age. We just lost our diabetic cat who was about 16--he was suffering, so we chose to let him go in peace rather than continue to watch him suffer. It was another difficult decision in a long line we've had to make--6 in the last 7 years to be exact. The remaining 6 cats are 12, then 5,4,3,2, and 1. Weird! The pupster is about 14, so it will be tough soon with him, too...
- Where is your own piece of paradise?
- I can make my own piece of paradise anywhere. I'm a proud Wiccan, and paradise doesn't have to be an island in the middle of nowhere. My own piece of paradise right now is with my family: my hubby, my parents, my pets, my sister and her hubby and her kids. We live on a farm, and we have horses coming and going (mostly coming--very few going! LOL), and a number of other animals around. We love it here, and would only give it up for a bigger piece of paradise!

There are so many helpful groups there--including groups you might not expect, like the healthy eating support group, the holistic and alternative medicine group, and the healthy dieting support group, just to name a few.
