- I do understand, I feel the same way. I want to make sure that they have all their needs and more. When we decided to bring them in our lifes and promised to care and love them, it was a true mean, not only talk... I belong to a group call DRC (Doodles Rescue Collective - doodlerescuecollective.ning.com) and the creator of that group, Lynne Fowler, is an expert in dog's food. She lost a beautiful poodle because of the recallv poison food in 2007.
She is not a "raw" person but she do know a lots about nutrition and doggy. Maybe you can go visit the website and check the group "feeding" and see if you can get some answers to all your questions. I can contact her too. She is a very good friend.
I hope all that can help you and reassure you too! You'rs doing the right think.

- I never fed the girls with raw. I use to homecook for them but Thalie (the rescue Labradoodle) is having big problem with her stomac. Every time we take her for a car ride she vomit. Also if I was changing their meat, she would have loose stool for a fuul week. since she is back on kibble, sh seem okay. Now we have to do the big test wich is taking her for a car ride.
I have friends who feed their dog with raw and I'm pretty sure they do it with their pregnant one too. I can get more infos if you want.
Nice to have you as a friend!
P.S. Please excuse my mistakes, being French speaking all my life, I sometime misspell...
