I lost my precious ferret, Edgar, May 12, 2009. She was 8 years old and I had her since she was the size of a little larger than a hamster. She died from old age, and spleen disease, and possible other diseases. I miss her terribly and have a HUGE hole in my heart. My family does not understand. When I cry I am told in more or less words "get over it" "she was just a ferret". I do still have my guinea pig, Lester, and my cat, Bagel.

Where is your own piece of paradise?

With my fiance and animals.

I'm sorry, but I have to share this with you all. I think sometimes my heart is too big for it's own good. I know that death is a part of life, but, I just can't take it. Now, I know this is going to sound silly, perhaps, but I just came back in from outside and I found this katydid, and her legs were shaking and she's dying. It's really bothering me. Bentley is fine, thanks, within the parameters, and he'll be seen again around the 15th. Even if he never recovers completly, which I'm afraid he won't, he can lead a nearly normal life and he is a very cheerful, loving pup.
