I lost my precious ferret, Edgar, May 12, 2009. She was 8 years old and I had her since she was the size of a little larger than a hamster. She died from old age, and spleen disease, and possible other diseases. I miss her terribly and have a HUGE hole in my heart. My family does not understand. When I cry I am told in more or less words "get over it" "she was just a ferret". I do still have my guinea pig, Lester, and my cat, Bagel.

I'm sorry, but I have to share this with you all. I think sometimes my heart is too big for it's own good. I know that death is a part of life, but, I just can't take it. Now, I know this is going to sound silly, perhaps, but I just came back in from outside and I found this katydid, and her legs were shaking and she's dying. It's really bothering me.
