I'm Autumn & together with my hubby Ken, we live in the beautiful Colorado Rockies, where we go hiking as often as time permits and we always have taken our furkids with us. My side kick and biggest love is Molly~ my 8 lb, wht/choc. Pomeranian. My husbands furbaby is Eddie~ he's a tri-colored Doxi/Rat Terrier mix. Then there is our 140 lb Mastiff mix, Caesar. He's a big ol' luvable 'scooby-doo'! Then there is Bandit or Baby as he's called most~ he's Molly & Eddies son from a first litter. She only had 2 and we kept them both. (it wasn't planned~ he was only 7 mos old when he became a dad!!) Baby's brother is Bear, who belongs to our grown son, but spends allot of time with us cuz my son is a Chef at a local Y-Camp and we take care of Bear for him. He's wht/choc. Eddie being the sneak and determined stud he is...got Molly pg again just before his neutering appt!!! This time she had 4 but we found homes for all except one~ and let's be truthful, dh didn't really want to give him away! lol He named him Pnut, 3 mos old and he is now the center of all the commotion in our household! He's tan & white, short hair, has the body/head of a Pom and the legs of a Doxi! lol Our cats are Boo, a fat while cat and Kiki a Siamese mix (a rescue). We have a full house, although our 7 kids have moved out and we have an empty nest! I look forward to meeting others who have a love for their furbabies as we do!

Where is your own piece of paradise?

Our piece of paradise has come true and we now live in a log cabin, in Pike's National Forest, on top of a mountain, 7 miles off the main road~ giving us the most beautiful scenic drive to and from home! We have an acre of forest around our home and a barn, but no animals use that right now. **I REALLY don't need more work!** lol

Been a while since I left an update on everyone's page, so I thought I would take some time and share what's been happening on PLP.

We have a really unique contest that I am hoping that people join in on. It's really not so much a contest as it is a way for us to create a calendar to share all of our pet pictures. Check it out by going here.

Ning has added a lot of new features, and some things they have taken away. Let's get to the fun part first! We can now add "system wide" apps that everyone can use. I'm still trying to figure out what would be fun, but, one thing I did add is a games page. The games page can be found under the Community menu and it's the last option -- or, just click HERE. If anyone has used the apps before, and has a recommendation, just let me know.

One of the things that was removed was our ability to invite other Ning friends to our community. If you are a member of other pet sites and want to invite your friends here, just log on to www.ning.com. You will see all of the sites that you belong to by clicking on "Social Networks".

Once you are on the page where PLP displays, select "Recommend" and you can then recommend PLP to your friends from other Ning sites or to our little home. We really appreciate it when you invite other folks to join our community. We only grow by word of mouth and appreciate the support.

We head up to Bailey a few times each year to go to the Bailey General Store for, of all things, Santa Maria Tri Tips. Long drive from Denver, but you are right -- it's GORGEOUS up there. My bonus-daughter and her family live in Indian Hills.

At 7:40am on August 17, 2009, SuzSee-PLP Creator said…: Yep, I am a rare Colorado native -- and I am embarrassed to say that I don't know where Pike's National Forest. My guess (only because of Pike's Peak) is that you might be near Colorado Springs? We live in Broomfield which is north of Denver.

My face was red when I realized that there wasn't a picture of Sage, but.... there was one of all three of them together celebrating some treats that a friend sent them. Whew!!

If you can spare a minute, please pass a hug on to five other members of the site and suggest that they do the same. It's a small gesture, but one that will go a long way to opening new friendships and, hopefully, creating more activity on the site.

Here's my attempt at creating new friendships and/or just sharing a tidbit about me. I am going to be a Grandma soon -- actually, very soon. The baby's due date is July 4th.
