Pet Lovers Paradise Guidelines

We don't have many rules, but the ones that we do have are strictly enforced.  These rules are in place to ensure a certain atmosphere on the site.  We have a small, loving site, and are ever watchful of postings made to ensure the guidelines are adhered.  (Postings include blogs, discussions, groups, e-mails, etc.)

1)  Our goal is to have a warm and inviting pet loving social community.  To be such, we have to have participation.  So...get involved!  Any account that is dormant for more than 90 days will be "banned" from the site.  Banned sounds harsh; however, it's the term used by Ning to remove a member. Notifications will be sent to members when they have not accessed the site in 83 days giving them a week to log in should they desire to retain access.

2)  Above all, this is a drama free zone.  We respect everyone's right to an opinion; however, if your opinion becomes offensive or condescending to your fellow member, your remarks (blogs or discussion comments) will be removed.  If the violation continues, your account will be banned.

3)  No spamming. (Strictly enforced!) 

PLP is not an advertising site; however, certain members have either sponsored PLP in donating gifts for contests, have partnered with PLP by advertising our site on their site or they have paid an annual fee for advertising here.  Advertising is limited to the Member Shops page and your own member page. 

4) No "In Your Face" public postings.  We all know that there are animal abuse issues, and causes that need to be addressed; however, please do not post graphic pictures or videos reminding of such. If you do place an entry that is considered inappropriate for the site, do not be surprised if it is removed without notification to you.  Since these issues are close to everyone's heart or they wouldn't be a part of this site, rest assured that we stand behind activists searching for resolutions; however, there are gentler ways to seek support for these causes.  If you feel that you must post graphic material, please confine this to your profile page. If you are interested in other Ning sites that are better suited for certain types of posts, again, please post a comment on the PLP Admin page and we will share the few sites known that focus on animal abuse/rights/rescue focus.
