Interesting discussion I'd like to share a somewhat unique perspective. I am a mix breed white ( Scot and Welsh ) and Chactaw . I was born and raised on the Chactaw Res. in Oklahoma . And to be honest I was treated badly by both . The whites considered me an Indian ( I can't print the names they really used ) and the full bloods were every bit as bad . We moved to California when I was in my early teens . Basically 'cause I refused take any c--p from either side . . . and was always in trouble. Say what you will about California , no one cared about my race , no more trouble . What I learned was all races are capable of racisim . And until we can accept that we all belong to the same race , the human race . there will be people like this Carla and they will come in all colors . And from all cultures .

Wow, thanks for that tip! I never thought about blocking. But she didn't post anything today, so maybe she realized she had nothing new to say. I certainly won't let her sour me on this wonderful website. Or keep us from going to pow-wows. If she wants to blame the entire white race for something, she's the one with the problem. I don't blame the entire Lakota tribe for her! We gave our puppy an Indian name. She seems to overlook these details. But when dealing with people like her, I always tell myself, 'Thank God she isn't my neighbor!' I even mentioned this website to her. Her loss.

Okay, do you feel better, now??? If you claimed to be Native American and then you should be consider that and be proud of it. Carla think she knows everything and always in the right. If you don't want her messages all you have to do is go to her page and underneath the profile picture there is an area that says block messages and you click that and you won't get anymore of her messages. Hope this helps.

Want to vent? You betcha! It's almost funny, not long ago everyone on that site was coming down on Carla for being so nasty to everyone. And even after I repeatedly said I would stop writing her if she stopped writing me, she kept on, so I considered that null and void. And she then turned around and claimed I'd broken my promise not to write her! And now everyone is patting her on the back and telling her to to just ignore me. I must be missing something here. She just keeps talking about what whites did to the Indians, and didn't like it when I told her that even before the white man came, Indians fought tribe against tribe. She seems to think that before that, it was paradise here amongst the peoples. I don't know of any country that has happened in. She also doesn't like me saying that as I'm a native of America, I consider myself as Native American as anyone. I told her that to be a native of a country, you have to be born a country of that name. This wasn't always America. Funny how she's managed to go from being the one everyone loved to hate, to the one everyone is defending! Obviously, on that site, you have to be in total agreement with everyone, and can't feel differently. It was a therapy dog discussion, and took a turn. But if someone disagrees with you, sometimes they get nasty, as she did. She had no call insulting my race, I'd never insulted hers. She said the same things over and over, and the others were saying that I was just saying the same stuff over and over. Totally overlooking her doing exactly that. I am soooo mad! Okay, I vented!!

Guess you are going to have to overlook her remarks. Because if you don't it may start eating you up inside and you don't want that. If you need to vent, I'm here and will be happy to let you off your stream. Hope this will help you some.

Regina, somewhat! My problem with Carla is that she openly implied that whites are INFERIOR. I am seething over that! And it wasn't even what we were discussing, she just threw it in to be insulting. But, I suppose there are folks in every race who think theirs is better. I have no problem in pride in a person's race, just in thinking they're better than others. Thankfully, not everyone feels as she does, both about the wolf issue, and the race thing. I guess she couldn't win just with facts, as she had nothing but hateful criticism. She couldn't even disagree politely, so when she ran out of anything else to say, she started saying ugly things about my race. Which is only half of me, I"m also part Spanish. I'd better not tell her that, she'll be cutting down Spaniards! We could all find something unpleasant about another race, and something pleasant. Only one perfect person has ever been born, and she probably doesn't like Him being a Jew. He was what He was! I especially resent her saying what she did, since I respect and enjoy Indian culture. Heck, why else would I come to this website? That's exactly what's here, and it's why I come, I enjoy it! Especially that Morning Song, it's absolutely beautiful. Thanks.

Karen, That is true with any race. There is not any one that is superior even though some still thinks that whites are. We are all the same just in different races and nothing will change that. You are always going to find someone that will disagree with you, no matter where you look. Sometimes you have to overlook the negative remarks and only look at the postive remarks.
