Hello Joyce...I too, am so sorry for your loss. That was such a touching story..thank you for sharing.
I do know how you feel..I had to say good bye to my little Brandi girl on April 24, 2009. It broke my heart to have to let her go, but it was the best thing for her. We will see our little loves again someday. In the meantime, know that he is forever in your heart. Hugs!

Sorry, Joyce, fro your loss! It is hard to loose one dear baby! They are during their life our partners, our heroes, our soul, in one word: everything! When they leave us, the sadness and pain will stay with us our whole life! But these little Angels are watching over us from Heaven! rest in Peace! marina

Oh Joyce, I am so sorry for your loss! I know exactly what you have been through because last June my dear Jasper had to be put to sleep, and he went peacefully in my arms, believing he was coming home with me. No matter how difficult it was for me I believe it was the best thing to do, for the poor dear felt safe and I was his last memory. The pain remains with us, inside of us for the rest of our lives, but we have to see that what we did was out of love. Buck will be there waiting for you and knows how loved he was and is. You have my sympathy and prayers.

Sorry I got carried away, He saved us that night. We would of surely died if it wern't for him. He passed away, with Renal kidney failure. The same thing I have. I miss his so much I can hardly talk about him still. Yes I have Harley my Service dog-Rottweiler, MyEnglish Bulldog Pup,, But In my heart, Lives This Boxer, "Buck" I will never Love a Dog quite like him,, He was very special, When he was given the shot to put him to slppe, He was looking right at me as I held him in my arms,,, He took his big head reached up and gave me a lil gentle last lick (Kiss) on my cheek,,, "I said, I will miss you too Boy!! Go to Sleep, I love you Buck Mark. And he quit Breathing...... Even the vet had tears in his eyes,, for he said, I only wish all dogs were as easy to care for and loved as much as he was..... I used to raise Boxers before my disabilty. I had a very special boxer I had bought , thats I was going to use for breeding. So I kept him. His name was "BuckMark" For you who don't know. Hes names after a Ruger Pistol. I love target plinking range shooting. NO-I'd never shoot NO animal, you all know this.. Anyway...He was neured
and he & I was inseperable. One night we were speeping, He jumped on the bed, started barking but it sounded far away,, I could feel him picking me up with his head, taking his big paws & digging at me,, Then he started pushing me, Till he rolled me out of bed. I could feel all this but I couldn't open my eyes,,, When I hit the floor, I semi woke up, I said "Buck" STOP! And started to drift back to sleep, when he barked in my ear, He pushed on the back of my head and sat me up.. I smelled something and sat up,, I said "What" Then I realized he wasn't acting right, I was on the floor, and that smell... I stood up,, Dizzy,, Shook my husband,, NOTHING!!
I opened the window,, I knew it wasn't smoke,, I opened outside doo by our room..... I franticly ran around looking for that smell...The lnly place it was strong was in our bedroom,, I called 911, they came,, by the time they got there, I said,, BUCK,, I cannot find it,, FIND IT,, SMELL,,, he went to the TV!! And started barking.. I walked over and put my nose like to the back of it, toward the wall... THAT WAS IT!!! I Jerked out the plug, I Don't knowhow I did it. I PICKED It up,, carried it out the door I had opened and heaved it right out the door in the snow................ The fire dept got there gave hubby a lil oxgyen he was fine,, I guess the electrial inside was burning smoking.... He was my hero..... I could, write 3 more time's he saved me........ later date....

You are right Paula...what they give us is important and irreplaceable. I still have trouble thinking about Brandi girl without being sad, most of the time. But I know in time, I will beable to think of her with a smile on my face. Hugs..

There is pain, but what they gave us is so important and irreplaceable that we should remember them not as painful memories but think of all the joy and happines they brought to our lives. They will be waiting for us when the time comes.
