All for the love of a Pet

The conversation starter's purpose is exactly that...to spawn conversation. We'd love to hear your responses to these questions, and perhaps we'll all learn a little more about each other (and likely things we never would have considered asking.) It'll be a central place where we can come and not only answer the questions, but peruse through each other's responses. Who knows? Maybe you'll meet someone you haven't talked to before and find you have something in common. You can create your own dialogue from here.

We'll list three questions. Feel free to respond to all three or any one of the three. Whatever you are comfortable with doing. Hope this is fun for all and, above all, creates some laughter and/or sparks some thought. Don't forget to keep checking back to see what others thoughts are about the topics posted and to even reply to someone else's posting to keep the activity going. We're always open for suggestions on topics, so don't hesitate to submit your ideas. It's our first year anniversary, so I thought we'd talk about "firsts"

1) Do you remember your first pet? What was it's name and what type of animal was it. Feel free to share as much as you'd like.
2) Who taught you to drive your first car? Mom? Dad? Any fun stories to share?
3) Do you remember your first day of school or have any tales to shares about any memory you have of someone's first day at school?

Wow my first dog, I was 4 or 5 and I named him Brown...Duh, guess what color he was. But I remember him so well, the love I learned from him.
My grand father taught me to drive. And pull a 25 foot camper. LOL He thought I should know way to much. Love to him for ever and ever.
I had six kids, so I would have lots of wild stories, to many to put down. LOL

WOW - A camper! I wish I could do that... no, on second thought, I think it's safer for the world for me never to try this. :-)

Our first pet was a dog a German Shepperd, he had realy been used to herd the sheeps, was strange for him to live in a house with people, i was 8 when he came by us,and i have walked with him wich he enjoyed specialy pulling me after him water in and out,but he was okay with me,but he hated people in uniforms even the baker who came to bring us bread, he hunted the poor men, down the sirs, and so whent the bread as well out of the basked on the stairs, was funny to see,but nice for the bakerm or postmen or conducteur from the train, it seemed later he was sick and had a tumor in his brain, it took some while before my father was ready to let him go,the vet told him, it was beter for the dog, to help him to sleep for ever, because he had pain all over,so thats why my first events with our 1th dog,his name was Wodan, i realy loved him.

My first pet was a dog named Zeus. I loved him so much. He was just one of those dogs that liked to cuddle with you and always be right next to you. He was so loving. Zeus was a big dog. He used to weigh about 125 pounds. He was a rottweiler and Tibetan Mastiff mix. Unfortunately Zeus got lime disease and when it spread to his liver he had to put down on March 15 this year. I miss him so much and send my blessing up to him.

Here's a picture of him, isn't he adorable?
