Conversation Starter - January

The conversation starter's purpose is exactly that...to spawn conversation. I'd love to hear your responses to these questions, and perhaps we'll all learn a little more about each other (and likely things we never would have considered asking.) It'll be a central place where we can come and not only answer the questions, but peruse through each other's responses. Who knows? Maybe you'll meet someone you haven't talked to before and find you have something in common. You can create your own dialogue from here.

I'll list three questions. Feel free to respond to all three or any one of the three. Whatever you are comfortable with doing. Hope this is fun for all and, above all, creates some laughter and/or sparks some thought. Don't forget to keep checking back to see what others thoughts are about the topics posted and to even reply to someone elses posting to keep the activity going. I'm always open for suggestions on topics, so don't hesitate to send me a note with a new convo starter question.

1) If your pet could answer three questions, what three questions would you ask it?
2) What's the first thing that comes to your mind when you hear the word "Fun"?
3) What's the best New Years resolution you've ever made?

1) I'd have to ask OzSee why he likes to chase the cats. I'd be curious to know why he doesn't bark like other Schnauzers. I am glad that he doesn't, but I am curious to know why. I'd also like to know how he felt when he was paralyzed from FCE and if he just knew he was going to be fine or was he as scared as I was.

2) I can't help but think about one of the first chat parties we scheduled here at PLP. I can't remember why, but, I was on pain medication and making more typos that one should make. I meant to type that "this was fun", but it ended up being "this is fub". I still get ribbed about this today.

3) To exercise more. One year, I actually did this. I haven't been as good this year.

*Ozsee must be a thinker,it seems to me that the more analytical ones bark less. I know how you feel wanting to know how he felt during paralysis. Often times I think our furry friends have great intuition about themselves and us!

Question #1- I would ask my cat Inky what she could possibly want that is so urgent at 4:45 in the morning, when she parades up and down the bed between my husband and I meowing at the top of her lungs and head butting us to get up and follow her into the livingroom where she sits beside her scratchpost. What is that all about?

Good luck, Lisa, on your resolution. There's a few of us, (Colleen and I) that have resolved to exercise more. Maybe we can keep each other honest?! Also, thank you for the nice comment about the site. I appreciate it.

1. I would ask Frodo what it is he wants after he has been fed ,given fresh water , a clean litterbox, and enough lovings and rubs to last a lifetime. Yet he still meows. I still cannot understand what it is he wants.

2. The first thing that comes to my mind is a good wrestle with our babies. They all pile on the bed and play tug of war with the blankets. hide and seek, and just plain tussle with us. They wear us out.

3. It is this year's resolution to lose weight and get healthy . Both my husband and I have committed to each other that we will do this so we can healthier and live longer with each other and for our babies. So far so good .
