Another loved member and family need our love and support.

Here is an email I received earlier today from Jennifer.

"Jennifer Miller has sent you a message on Pet Lovers Paradise

this holiday weekend was so very das. it is so hard to lose one of your babies and this weekend my fiance lost his. we are living in hawaii for awhile and because of quarantine laws, we had to leave our kids behind. jay got a call on wednesday that his poor little kitty cameo was diagnosed with sudden feline pancreatitis. i am a veterinary assistant, and i can tell you that is is very painful, sudden, and you almost never determine the cause of it. so we had to fly jay home last minute to the mainland so that he could spend one last day with cameo. he took her out of the hospital on sunday and spent the whole last day cuddling with her, and playing his guitar for her, and tryng to make her as happy and comfortable as possible. he called me this morning to let me know that he took her to the hospital this morning and had her put to sleep. it sounds like the clinic he took her to did it very peacefully and respectfully. they gave him some of her whiskers and hair to keep, and made a molding of her paw print for him to keep forever. the cost of the plane ticket combined with the medical bills kept me from being able to fly with him. i feel so awful for him and my heart is breaking for him. he loved his kitty so much. for the longest time cameo was all he had in his life. she was a sweet kitty, a dear friend, and she will be missed. we loved you cameo!"

Let's all show our caring spirit we have become so famous for. They could use some TLCaring right now.

Jennifer & Jay,
My heart hurts with you. I'm so sorry for the loss of Cameo. Your heart will hurt for a while, and that's ok. May you feel her spirit with you always.

We have lost 2 in the past year...one just 8 and my old fighter, Jasper, who was 17!! Been through more with me than most of my family.
The pain is always there, but the gentle thoughts of her roaming the house, curling up with me, always being there, make me understand she hung around for a long time, and it was time for her to let someone new come into my life. When you feel like it, maybe it is time for someone new to take her place, one from a shelter, etc., waiting to love you.
My heart goes out to everyone who feels the loss of one of these gentle, yet genuine creatures.

Rainbow Bridge
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

I just wanted to let you know that I made it home. The journey wasn’t an easy one, but it didn’t take too long.

Everything is so pretty here, so white, so fresh and new. I wish that you could close your eyes and that you could see it too. Please try not to be sad for me. Try to understand God is taking care of me….I’m in the shelter of his hands.

Here there is no sadness, no sorrow, and no pain. Here there is no crying and I’ll never hurt again. Here it is so peaceful when all the angels sing. I really have to go for now….I’ve just got to try my wings.

May this bring you comfort and fill your heart in your time of loss! My thoughts and prayers are with you.

So sorry about your loss of Cameo. Just try to remember all the good times you had with her. What a shame these animals can't live a little longer but I guess the other animals that are homeless need a home also.
Take care.
